Kleinood is situated in the Helderberg area near Stellenbosch. This area is renowned for its warm days and cool nights, making it ideal for wine grape production. The plantings are done on North and West facing slopes at altitudes varying from 172 to 198 meters above sea level.

Licht stro-geel van kleur.  Vooral aroma’s van abrikoos en peer met een mengeling van jasmijn- en  limoenbloesems in de neus.  De smaak volgt de neus volledig: intense vruchten-aroma’s.

Een prachtige, zachte, soepele Syrah…  vooral geen “blockbuster”!

De 2007 oogst, bevat 90% Syrah, 3% Viognier en 7% Mourvèdre.

20 maanden in 500 l Franse eiken vaten.

Tasting notes Winemaker: “Dark ruby plum colour.  Intense dark red berry flavours initially on the nose followed by hints of pepper, chocolate, spice and florals. Rich full entry on the palate with heaps of berry fruit flavours. Good complexity and integration of all flavours allowing fine elegant tannins to round off the wine. Decant one hour prior to
serving”.
