Een ideale Méthode Cap Classique om te combineren met de maaltijd!

De druiven zijn afkomstig van een 20 jaar oude Chardonnay-wijngaard.

Tasting notes Winemaker: “The nose is quite clean and complex with notes of citrus, minerals, marmite and a fine oak complexity. The palate is alive with fine bubbles caressing the palate, the nose follows through on the mouth with a refreshingly dry citrus,
butterscotch, minerally finish”.

De Chenin Blanc onderging z’n fermentatie in inox tanks; de Viognier fermenteerde in oudere Franse eiken vaten, met natuurlijke gist.  Beide wijnen werden gemaakt op een oxidatieve manier.

Na fermentatie en 3 maanden op de “lees”, werd een blend gemaakt van de 2 variëteiten en daarna gebotteld.

Tasting notes Winemaker: “The nose is quite elegant with perfume notes and peaches and cream and pineapple from both varieties, as well as a fine mineral, nougat, almond character, signature to Sterhuis terroir. The palate is quite full and rich with limes, orange blossom, peaches and apricot flavours lingering with a long elegant, mineral finish”.

Tasting notes Winemaker: “The wine shows a dense straw colour with a green tinge. Limes, complex citrus, caper flowers, peaches and cream and minerals on the nose, the palate is fresh with citrus, lemon meringue and tropical notes with a long mineral finish”.

Tasting notes Winemaker: “The wine has an intense colour with a bright green hue. The nose is fresh with fynbos, green figgs,lichi, gooseberries and a flinty minerality. The palate is lively with fresh tropical fruit, minerals and a richness from the barrel fermented
portion, finishing with a fresh acidity and a long minerally tail”.
